Ehrlich Radio: We listen so you don't have to.

Bob Ehrlich headed back to Montgomery County today to make more empty promises. He keeps saying how important Montgomery County voters are in getting elected. However, Bob Ehrlich has a funny way of courting Montgomery County voters; he insults us behind our backs.

On Saturday, Bob Ehrlich spent much of his weekly radio show criticizing Montgomery County with guest Blair Lee. He reiterated his opposition to the Purple Line light rail system in favor of a bus system (AUDIO). Then, Kendel Ehrlich laughed over an e-mail from a listener who said residents keep shooting themselves in the foot and expecting it not to hurt. In response, Blair Lee, Montgomery County’s former lobbyist in Annapolis, made particularly condescending comments toward county residents, saying that we have to come out of our “never never land” and that we live in a “dream world.”  (AUDIO)

I’ve been a Montgomery County resident for more than 30 years and I don’t think I’m alone in taking offense to Ehrlich’s’ criticisms. He must think that since his radio show airs in Baltimore, voters in Montgomery County are clueless as to how he really sees us.

Well, I think it’s time to tell Bob Ehrlich what Montgomery County voters think of him. We’re going to tell him to his face and at the ballot box not over right wing radio.
