President Obama Comes Back to Baltimore

On January 29, 2010, in Democrats, by MD Dems

WATCH PRESIDENT OBAMA’S ADDRESS TO THE REPUBLICAN CONFERENCE LIVE! (12:04 p.m.)

As you may have heard, President Obama is in Baltimore today to speak at before the House GOP Retreat, not to be confused with the RNC retreat in Hawaii.

During his visit the President also stopped by Chesapeake Machine Co. where he discussed a $5,000 federal tax credit for business that hire new employees. This is similar to a proposal by Governor O’Malley for a state tax credit for business that hire unemployed workers. Sen. Barbara Mikulski, Gov. Martin O’Malley, Reps. Elijah E. Cummings and John S. Sarbanes and Mayor-to-be Stephanie C. Rawlings-Blake were also in attendance.

Local news coverage of the Presidential visit:

WJZ covered the Presidential motorcade as President Obama arrived to his first stop.

The Baltimore Sun’s has live coverage of today’s visit.
