TGiving DCCC cheat_sheetBetween phone calls and emails, I spent yesterday and this morning in the kitchen baking — probably not your image of your State Party Chair — but I love Thanksgiving and am hosting family and friends on Thursday. Trust me, I bake a killer cookie!

I am planning dinner tomorrow and know one thing —regardless of what we eat –my table will be full of Democrats! At dinner, I will look around and be thankful for our family and friends and the abundance of great things that are part of my life.  And, you should know, you are a part of that.

I am grateful for all you do to help make our state and your own community a better place.  I am grateful that you take the time to make your voice heard, that you respond to our calls and our candidates’ calls time and time again through your activism and donations. I know we ask a lot of you and so often you show inspiring generosity.

There’s another thing that happens on Thanksgiving among my family, and that’s lots of conversation. By the time we’re splurging with my cookies and ice cream, we’ve covered plenty of territory.  My guess is that it is the same at your table.

I saw this great “Cheat Sheet” that Cong. Van Hollen and the DCCC prepared to arm folks for battle in the event that you have that Republican Uncle pushing your buttons tomorrow night. Hope you enjoy this “Thanksgiving Gift.”

Bruce and I will be celebrating our 33rd anniversary Friday (Yes, I was a mere child). So don’t expect to hear from me for a few days.

But, I hope to see you next week at our event Celebrating Strong Women in Maryland with Senator Barbara Mikulski and Congresswoman Donna  Edwards.

I’ll have my cookie recipe with me!
